Director, Commercial Operations and Sales

Frank Gilg was promoted to Director of Commercial Operations and Sales in 2011. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction, management and sales of Tii Informatics, which provides a wide range of services to the healthcare market and support our clients' research, marketing and educational objectives. Our commercial clients include pharmaceutical and device companies, associations, transplant centers, organ procurement organizations as well as government agencies. Gilg also works closely with UNOS' Center for Transplant System Excellence and its international consulting practice.

He joined UNOS in 2004 as Director of Sales and Marketing for Tii. In 2008, Tii was nominated as a Finalist for the Greater Richmond Technology Council's "IT Builders Award." This award is presented to the company that develops systems or applications that have a major impact to its clients business or processes.

Prior to joining UNOS, Gilg had over 20 years of successful sales and sales management experience in the healthcare and information technology industries.

Gilg graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 1985 with a bachelor's of science in business marketing and a concentration in economics. Most recently, he completed the VCU International Business Certificate Program.

Gilg is a member of Greater Richmond Technology Council and serves on the Virginia Biotechnology Association board of directors and Virginia BioTechnology Research Park communications committee.
