Chief Information Officer
Janet Smith joined UNOS in 2008. As CIO, she is responsible for providing enterprise executive leadership and strategic direction for information technology, which includes technology infrastructure, systems, services and telecommunication in support of the business requirements.
Her experience prior to joining UNOS includes positions with GTE (now Verizon) and Providence Health System, where she garnered extensive experience in programming, system design, system analysis, production/operations support, and project management.
Smith earned a bachelor's of science degree in information systems management from the University of San Francisco and a master's degree in business administration from Nova Southeastern University. She is also a certified project management professional (PMP).
