Chief Human Resources Officer
Jo Anne Snyder joined UNOS in 2012 as Chief Human Resources Officer. In this newly created position, Snyder will work closely with business unit leaders to define and align HR strategy with business unit strategy. She will be responsible for the administration, evaluation, development and improvement of HR strategies; all HR policies, practices, and procedures; and ensuring support and alignment with company values and goals.
Before joining UNOS Snyder was a Bon Secours Virginia Health System's administrative director of human resources. In this role, she oversaw the HR functions for two medical centers and shared services covering 11 locations, which employ 3,300 employees. Snyder also held HR leadership roles at Interbake Foods LLC and the Carpenter Company.
Snyder earned a master's of business administration from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a bachelor's of arts in English from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She is a certified senior professional in human resources (SPHR).
