UNOS Statement Financial Aspects of Organ and Tissue Donation
Richmond, VA - The United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) Board of Directors issued the following statement at its semi-annual meeting June 15 & 16:
The UNOS Board of Directors reaffirms the belief that altruistically donated organs and tissues should not be a source of improper gain for companies or individuals, and would urge that the existing federal and state laws be enforced to ensure that the public continues, with trust, to participate in organ and tissue donation.
