UNOS Wins Three Communications Awards
UNOS received three awards at the 57th annual Virginia Public Relations Awards ceremony June 9 for interactive communications and feature article writing.
Two of the entries were cited for Medallion Awards, indicating they received at least 35 out of a maximum 40 points from independent reviewers. Medallion Awards were given for an informational CD presentation regarding the National Donor Memorial and a three-part article series in UNOS Update regarding state "first person consent" laws and donor registries. A Merit Award was conferred for an article in the July-August 2003 edition of UNOS Update regarding two young transplant recipients who are active in athletics. View this article now >
The Richmond Public Relations Association, a chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), hosted the statewide awards. The Wichita, Kan. PRSA chapter judged the entries.
