UNOS' Patient Web site Now Available in Spanish

Transplant Living, UNOS' award-winning patient information Web site, is now available in Spanish at www.trasplantesyvida.org. (Translation: "Transplantation and Life.")

Like the original English-language version, the new Web site provides accurate, up-to-date transplant information, including sections on organ allocation, living donation, financing a transplant, post-transplant wellness, and a variety of other resources.

According to a U.S. Census Report released in May, Hispanics now are the largest minority population in the United States, representing more than 15 percent of the total U.S. population. Hispanics also represent about 16 percent of the candidates listed for transplantation on the waitlist.
