UNOS Receives Healthcare Technology Innovation Award
The Greater Richmond Technology Council honored UNOS on May 13 with the Packet360 and Cisco Systems Technology Innovation Healthcare Award for contributions to the technology economy in the Richmond area. The award recognizes healthcare-related information technology that creates or enhances new processes, methodologies or services for the benefit of others.
Blaine Hess, UNOS' Director of Information Technology Support Services, received the award on behalf of the organization. "We graciously accept this recognition of the Richmond technical community on behalf of the UNOS IT Staff, UNOS staff, and the thousands of health care professionals and volunteers that make the gift of life possible for the 102,000 people waiting for an organ in this country," he remarked.
