Results of 2008 UNOS Member Survey
In November 2008, UNOS sent a questionnaire to nearly 8000 procurement and transplant professionals. UNOS asked its members for input on a number of important topics ranging from UNOS' products and services to staff responsiveness and more. More than 1,500 respondents (nearly 20 percent return rate) completed the online survey.

Some observations from the survey results include:
- The largest single group of responses came from clinical coordinators (413) and we also received 332 responses from physicians and surgeons.
- The majority of our survey respondents (56%) have worked in the transplant field 10 years or less and 31% have been in the field five years or less.
- The top five ways members receive information about policy and other items (in ranked order) are: UNOS Web site, system notices; policy notices, UNOS Update Magazine, and emails from UNOS Communications.
- Most significant change noticed was the increased use of plain language throughout UNOS documents.
- Many professionals are unaware of the significant resources and training opportunities available through UNOS.
