Because transplantation depends on the generosity of the American public, UNOS promotes organ donation on an ongoing basis and pays tribute to our nation's organ donors and their families.

Promoting Organ Donation

UNOS is active in the state and national health community, and collaborates with organizations across the country to reach thousands of individuals and families through exhibits at health fairs and business expos, community and sporting events and schools and universities. Staff and volunteers speak and distribute brochures and materials that educate and inspire family conversation.

In 1992, UNOS founded Donate Life America, now an independent organization devoted solely to inspiring people to save and enhance lives through organ, eye and tissue donation. Learn more >

Honoring Donors and Their Families

The National Donor Memorial honors America's organ, eye and tissue donors. It is a memorial garden and Web site designed by a volunteer committee of donor family members, living donors and transplant recipients from across the country. Learn more >
