UNOS Primer

How do I influence policy, and how does it impact me? Participants will leave this on-site conference with a better understanding of the UNOS structure, policy implementation and compliance, effective practices, and resources. Learn more >

This conference will offer opportunities for engagement with UNOS staff and fellow participants through dialogue, breakout sessions, plenary sessions, and networking. The topics are relevant for both OPOs and Transplant Centers. They will address the most commonly asked questions about monitoring, site surveys and compliance, patient safety event handling, and the evaluation plan.

The interactive sessions will provide you with methods, tools, resources, and much more that you can take back to share with co-workers at your center or OPO. You will also receive the latest policy information about organ allocation, living donor and the KPD Pilot Program. Hands-on exploration of UNetSM online help documentation, system notices and training resources will be enhanced with opportunities for interaction with the HelpDesk support services team. Time will also be set aside for tours of the UNOS Organ Center and National Donor Memorial as well as interactions with UNOS staff.

The UNOS Primer promises to offer an up-close and personal experience with the dynamic world of policy development and how it impacts your day-to-day work in donation and transplantation.
