John Hodges

John C. F. Hodges, M.A., is a faculty research assistant in the center for remote sensing in the department of geography at Boston University. He is a living kidney donor.

Hodges was a member of the OPTN/UNOS ad hoc committee on the public solicitation of organ donors and a living-donor representative to the OPTN/UNOS conference on the psychosocial evaluation of living unrelated kidney donors in the United States. He currently serves the UNOS Foundation as a member of the editorial board of UNOS' patient Web site, transplantliving.org.

In addition to his OPTN/UNOS service, he is a discussion moderator of the International Association of Living Donors' website, Living Donors Online! (livingdonorsonline.org). Hodges was an invited speaker representing living donors at Brigham and Women's Hospital's 50th anniversary celebration of the first human organ transplant.

He has a master of arts degree in geography and remote sensing from Boston University and a bachelor of science degree in earth and planetary sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
