Bobby Howard is manager of the multicultural donation education program at LifeLink of Georgia. He is a kidney recipient; his mother and niece also were recipients.

He has served on the OPTN/UNOS patient affairs committee.

Howard is a former president of the Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF) and currently serves on its board of directors; he also has been a board member of the American Society of Multicultural Health and Transplantation Professionals. He has been a member of the LifeLink Foundation board of governors, and he also served as vice chair of the Donate Life America African American campaign.
