Mark C. Norquist is a senior materials planner at Cray Inc., a global supercomputing research and manufacturing company in Seattle. One of his daughters was a donor, and the other is the recipient of two cornea transplants.

Norquist is on the board of trustees of the Musculoskeletal Transplantation Foundation and served on its ethics committee. He also has served on the board of directors of the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Wisconsin and on the executive committee of the NKF's National Donor Family Council.

Norquist has an associate's degree in marketing from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wis.
