Director, External Affairs

Elisabeth Gabrynowicz was named Director of External Affairs in 2002. She is responsible for the communications and marketing functions of the organization, including: media relations and issues management; communications to UNOS' membership; development of marketing collateral and materials to support UNOS' professional services; speakers bureau support activities; graphics design and Web site design and editorial support.

Ms. Gabrynowicz has a broad background in communications, bringing to the position 20 years of progressively responsible experience in management, public relations, and marketing communications with major national and international companies. In addition, she has extensive experience as a public relations officer for the U.S. Army Reserve. She currently holds the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Ms. Gabrynowicz received her bachelor's degree in journalism at C.W. Post and her M.B.A. at The College of William & Mary. She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators, Public Relations Society of America, and the Reserve Officers Association.
