Roger Brown

Director of Policy and Community Relations

Roger Brown leads a team that facilitates transplant policy development by engaging the community, with a focus on including the expertise and voices of all stakeholders—the public, patients, donor families, and donation and transplant professionals.

Brown previously served as the director of the Organ Center, and joined UNOS in 1995 as an organ placement specialist. A member of NATCO: The Organization for Donation and Transplant Professionals, Brown has served as faculty for a NATCO course for new transplant coordinators. Additionally, he has co-authored a number of journal articles on issues in transplantation.

Brown earned a B.S. in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from Longwood University. He holds a certificate in quality and patient safety from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and he has been nationally certified as a procurement transplant coordinator.
