The Abdominal Transplant Program at Tampa General Hospital is seeking to add a 6th Transplant Hepatologist to support its expanding liver disease management and transplant program that performs an average of 80 liver transplants a year, with plans for growth. Currently our program has three Liver Transplant Surgeons and nine advanced practice providers. This position involves the full scope of clinical and transplant hepatology and also includes teaching and mentoring rotating medical students, residents and gastroenterology fellows from the University of South Florida (USF). TGH is affiliated with USF, and USF provides GI fellow and Surgery resident rotations monthly on the Liver Transplant Service. The Liver Transplant program is active in clinical research and has several ongoing clinical trials in HCC, NASH and HCV.
